What do you know about tires?
If you ask several drivers, how often should tires be rotated, you would probably get several different answers, or "I don't know."
The fact is, tires are the most neglected part of a motor vehicle. Most drivers rarely, if ever, check their tire pressure. Many just assume the air stays in the tires forever. In reality wheel/rim imperfections, porosity and leaking valve core/stems can all lead to air loss over time. Low air causes handling problems, irreversible tire wear and greatly affects fuel economy.
To avoid these issues, have a knowledgeable person check tires every 2 weeks. Have your tires rotated every 7,000 - 10,000 miles. Have alignment performed every 30,000 miles. Checking the tire pressure is also a very good time to check the engine oil and other fluis!
Save fuel... drive safe!

When did you last service your automatic transmission?
There are many different recommendations from many different sources, when it comes to why or when we should service transmissions. We tend to take what a transmission does and what it goes through for granted.
If you consider the temperature swings, mountainous terrain, short trips and normal wear and tear, it is easy to see why most professional recommend a transmission service at or near the 50,000 mile mark.
Servicing runs around $110 (depending on the model) and for most drivers, only needs to be performed once during ownership. Not a high price to pay for the comfort of knowing it's done.
